Inorganic aluminum salt waterproofing agent is an oily liquid formed by reacting various inorganic chemicals with aluminum salt and calcium carbonate as the primary raw materials. Its color is light yellow or brownish yellow. It has complete functions of anti-leakage, anti-freeze, heat resistance, pressure resistance, early strength, and rapid setting, and is non-toxic, odorless, and pollution-free.

The inorganic aluminum salt waterproofing agent dosage is 3% to 5% of the cement dosage. When inorganic aluminum salt is mixed into concrete, it reacts chemically with Ca(OH)₂ generated after hydration of cement to generate aluminum hydroxide and hydroxide. Iron and other cementitious substances interact with the calcium aluminate hydrate in the cement to create double-salt calcium sulfoaluminate crystals with specific expansion properties. These colloidal substances and crystals fill the capillary pores and gaps of the concrete and mortar structures. It blocks the channels for moisture migration and improves concrete’s compactness, waterproofing, and impermeability.

Inorganic aluminum salt waterproofing agent is suitable for rigid self-waterproofing and surface waterproofing layers of concrete and reinforced concrete structures. It can be used on roof planes, toilets, basements, tunnels, sewers, water towers, bridges, reservoirs, oil pools, building slab joints, New and old waterproofing projects such as dam grouting, grain storage, sewer better facilities, and wall moisture proofing.

The operation method of using an inorganic aluminum salt waterproofing agent is as follows:

(1) Cast-in-situ structural floor

Base cleaning → Brush with waterproof mortar → Apply waterproof mortar → Compact and polish → Maintenance

(2) Repair the roof of the old building

① Remove debris and oil stains from the surface of the base layer. There should be no looseness or hollows. Rinse the joints and seam lines with water;

② Apply waterproof slurry as the bonding layer;

③ Apply a layer of waterproof mortar to a thickness of 25mm, and use an iron scraper to compact and smooth it repeatedly. Left an expansion joint for every 36m² caulked with tough waterproof ointment.

(3)Prefabricated structural building roof

Clean the base layer → Fill joints and seams with sealant → Set up metal mesh → Brush with waterproof mortar → Apply waterproof mortar layer → Maintenance.

① Cleaning of the base layer: Remove debris on the surface and in the seams of the joints. There should be no looseness or hollows and caulking with rigid materials. Sprinkle large grains of sand on the caulking surface in time to bond with the waterproof mortar layer;

② Set up a metal mesh, generally using 3mm steel bars or 12-14 gauge iron wire, with a spacing of 200mm×200mm;

③ Brush with waterproof slurry;

④ Apply waterproof mortar layer: thickness is 30mm~40mm (including leveling layer), compact and polish repeatedly;

⑤ Expansion joints are left at each support beam, with a width and depth between 10mm and 20mm, and are caulked with tough waterproof materials;

⑥ The waterproof surface layer should be covered and maintained with straw curtains or sawdust. The maintenance period is 14 days.

(4) Construction of basements, toilets, pools, dams, and channels

① Grassroots cleaning, the same as before;

② Brush with waterproof slurry;

③ Apply a waterproof base layer with a thickness of 10mm to 15mm, and repeatedly press it with a wooden trowel to remove the pockmarked surface;

④ Brush with waterproof slurry;

⑤ The joints of each layer should be staggered, and the distance should be no less than 100mm;

⑥ Carry out maintenance; the maintenance period is 14 days.

(5)Attentions

① The original base layer should be clean, rough, and moist. It is not suitable for construction when the temperature is high;

② The mixing time of waterproof mortar or waterproof concrete is longer than that of plain mortar and plain concrete;

③ The waterproof mortar must be repeatedly calendered and compacted, and the waterproof concrete must be vibrated and compacted;

④ The roof of the open-air building should be covered with a sprinkler and maintained for 14 days.
